The Poznań International Fair (MTP) has long been the leader of the Polish trade fair market and the second largest exhibition organiser in Central Eastern Europe. It ranks 33nd on the world list of trade fair cities (data: AUMA 2009).

MTP belongs to organisations that associate trade fair leaders from all over the world: UFI - Global Association of the Exhibition Industry and Centrex - International Exhibition Statistics Union.

Every year, more than 13 200 exhibitors including about 3,000 foreign companies from 70 countries of the world participate in 80 trade fair events organised on the grounds of the Poznań fair. Last year, the shows and exhibitions were also visited by 310,000 attendees, including visitors from abroad. All trade shows, congresses and conferences organised on the MTP grounds are yearly visited by over 780.000 attendees, which makes MTP the leading centre of business tourism in Poland.

Thanks to the great confidence put in the Poznań fair by its clients, MTP organises expositions of Polish leaders at over 50 renowned trade shows and exhibitions abroad in such countries as: Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Czech Republic, Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. In 2008, 90 MTP exhibitors went abroad to present their products on the exhibition area of approx. 2,000 m2.

The Poznań-based fair owns the largest exhibition and conference infrastructure in Poland, including 16 high standard air-conditioned halls with a large exhibition area (over 110,000 sq.m. in exhibition halls and almost 35,000 sq.m. on open grounds) and 81 modern conference rooms.

MTP is an organiser of such events as conferences, congresses and seminars held in the MTP Congress Centre.

The State Treasury holds 60% and the City of Poznań - 40% of shares of company`s share capital.

• COMPANY`S ACTIVITIES AND COMPETENCES
The company performs the following activities: rendering services, manufacturing and trade, carried out independently or in cooperation with other entities or persons or as an agency, within and beyond Poland, and especially:
1. organisation and carrying out of trade fairs, exhibitions, exchanges, shows, conferences, symposia, lectures, professional trainings, briefings and rendering all services in the fields of promotion, advertising or giving trade, economic and technical information in Poland and abroad, as well as publishing, printing and film activities, also economic and legal advisory and translation services
2. import and export activities as well as agency, representative, forwarding and transport services
3. running customs and consignment depots,
4. trade and service operation in the fields of tourism and leisure, hotel and catering industry
5. running other economic operations that use Company`s potential for non-exposition purposes as well as construction and equipment of exhibition stands in Poland and abroad for Polish and foreign contractors
