MTP – the leader of Polish exhibition industry

Poznań International Fair (MTP) is a leader of the Polish exhibition industry, having about 55% share in the exhibition market in Poland, which ranks it the first organizer of exhibition events and fair in Central and Eastern Europe. MTP is a member of the organizations which gather worldwide exhibition leaders, including UFI –Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, Centrex – International Exhibition Statistics Union, EMECA - European Major Exhibition Centers Association as well as the Polish Chamber of the Exhibition Industry (PIPT).
MTP’s product portfolio consists of more than a hundred tradeshows organized annually or biannually. In the year 2015, all exhibition events organized on the fairgrounds of Poznań International Fair were participated by more than 9.5 thousand exhibitors and visited by 627 thousand people.
Poznań International Fair supports the promotion of the Polish economy abroad cooperating with the different ministries, the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, various economic associations and chambers. It is an organizer of national presentations at world’s biggest events, such as, for example, CeBIT modern technologies exhibition, where the Polish stand arranged by MTP was visited by Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, as well as ChinaJoy 2014 in Shanghai, where our gaming industry was presented. Poznań International Fair is also responsible for the Branch Promotional Program of Furniture and Clothes as well as the Video Games Market. In the recent years, as part of the General Promotion Program of the Ministry of Economy, MTP supported Polish business in such far-away, high-potential markets as Kazakhstan and Canada; at present, it provides support on the Brazilian and Turkish markets.
The company is a laureate of multiple awards including such prestigious distinctions as the Ambassador of the Polish Economy, the Economic Award of the President of Poland, Teraz Polska (Poland Now), Trademark Certificate, European Medal, Polish Sports Constructor, Gold Medal of Jan Kiliński.
MTP is ranked 25th among European exhibition centers in terms of the infrastructure owned. It is the owner of 213.2 ha area, including the exhibition area together with facilities and administration areas of 22.9 ha. The Fair owns 16 spacious, air-conditioned pavilions, lots of rooms for business talks and meetings, banquet facilities as well as an open-air area where 2,000 cars can be parked.
One of Poland’s most modern and largest congress and conference halls was put into operation in 2012. The Earth Hall is capable of housing 2,000 people and is equipped with high-end multimedia devices which make it possible to organize concerts of world-famous stars as well as professional business events. The pavilions are interlinked by overhead passages in order to create a space where particular elements can be combined at will. It is thanks to such investments that MTP facilities house events which can be participated by a few dozen thousand guests or more.
MTP for Poznań
MTP is the organizer of lots of events addressed to Poznań inhabitants. These include Tastes of Regions, Hobby exhibition, Art & Craft Festival, and Cavaliada - an equestrian event. The company supports culture institutions and it is the organizer of the International Lute and Violin Competitions organized by the Association of Henryk Wieniawski in 2016. The firm co-operates with Polish Dance Theater, Malta Foundation, Chamber Orchestra of the Polish Radio Amadeus, Philharmonics of Poznań, as well as Poznań Nightingales Choir. On the premises of MTP, exhibitions of artists and talented students of the University of Arts are organized. Poznań International Fair is also the organizer and the originator of “Summer at the fair” vacation action. This event is addressed to families with children living in Poznań or around, who can take advantage of the beach, sports grounds, as well as participate in attractive science and culture attractions free of charge.
The UN COP14 climate summit took place on the premises of MTP in December 2008. It was participated by 12 thousand guests from 189 countries worldwide. Between 2009 and 2010 , on the other hand, the Fair hosted the members of 32nd European Meeting of Taizé, which was attended by 30 thousand people from 50 different countries. Apart from that, Congresses of Jehovah Witnesses, convention of political parties, as well as integration events of companies are held at MTP. 2015 also saw a meeting with Anthony Robbins, a motivational speaker, participated by 7 thousand people. Moreover, the grounds of MTP are where animals are presented. The events involve the Exhibition of Pigeons and Ornamental Poultry, the Breeding Animals Exhibition, as well as national and international Exhibitions of Dogs. In September 2016 the fair will host the Annual Dental Congress FDI together with 12 thousand participants.
Apart from that, the fairgrounds are used as a sports arena. Every December, horse riders from across Europe meet at MTP to participate in Cavaliada. Then, stables, riding arenas, and a parkour for more than 300 horses are created. In 2012, the International Table Tennis Competition Polish Open 2012 was held here; it managed to gather nearly 300 participants from around the world, including lots of medalists of the Olympic Games and the World Championship. Every year, EU4YA International Fitness Convention is organized here where as many as 1,000 people can perform physical activities in the place and at the same time. The fairgrounds are also the finish line of Poznań marathon. The pavilions and the area around have for years been a venue of cultural events. This is where concerts of Jane Addiction, Sinéad O'Connor, Macy Gray, Katie Melua and Placido Domingo, for example, took place. The company has a musical pavilion MP2 at its disposal, which is suitable for huge rock concerts. This is also where performances by the Polish Dance Theater take place. On the other hand, the Earth Hall is where performances by a Warsaw’s entertainment theaters, music and dance bands such as the Gala Performance of the Silesian Song and Dance Group take place.
Owing to its infrastructure, location near the center of Poznań, the fact that the motorway and the integrated communication center are close nearby, as well as its long experience in preparing business and entertainment large—scale events, Poznań International Fair is capable of organizing nearly every event.
