Friday – a day for champions and hunting dogs

The weekend will open with the prestigious Champions Show, where the most beautiful of all champions will be crowned. The final competition is a true spectacle not to be missed. On the same day, the National Hunting Dog Show will take place, featuring all hunting breeds, including native Polish ones such as the Polish Hunting Dog, Polish Hound, Polish Greyhound and the newly recognised Polish Hunting Spaniel.

Saturday – club shows and international competition

Saturday will mark the first of two International Purebred Dog Shows, one of the weekend’s main events. Alongside it, several club shows will be held, bringing together dogs from clubs representing Greyhounds, Polish Greyhounds, Dachshunds, Spaniels and Retrievers, as well as Bull-type Terriers.

Sunday – the grand finale

On Sunday, audiences will enjoy another International Purebred Dog Show, culminating in the selection of the most outstanding dogs of each breed and the awarding of the prestigious Supreme Best in Show title.

Three days of passion and excitement

Over the course of three days, around 7,000 dogs representing more than 200 breeds will take to the rings – from majestic shepherds and elegant sighthounds to adorable toy breeds. The judging panel will include experts from across Europe – Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Portugal and the United Kingdom – as well as from overseas, including Chile. Among the most represented breeds will be golden retrievers, labrador retrievers, cavalier king charles spaniels and whippets, while rarer breeds such as the Greenland Dog, Spanish Hound, Tornjak and Kishu will also make an appearance. Exhibitors will travel from all over the world, including the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Brazil and Uruguay.

Polish and other European exhibitors will also be strongly represented. Visitors will have the chance not only to admire champions and future winners but also to meet breeders and watch a variety of shows and demonstrations – including dog dancing, mondioring, canine fitness, puller training, obedience, sheep herding, and police dog demonstrations.

Throughout the weekend, a large shopping area will be available on the MTP Poznań Expo grounds, offering a wide range of products for dogs and their owners. Visitors will find high-quality food, treats, accessories, toys, cosmetics and many other essentials – including items rarely available in regular stores, making it a great opportunity to find something special for their four-legged friends.

The organisers aim to make the Poznań Dog Shows not only a breeders’ festival but also a family-friendly event that celebrates the love of animals and promotes responsible dog ownership.
