“Romantic Chopin” in Poznań. A New Immersive Exhibition at MTP Poznań EXPO
A new immersive exhibition dedicated to the work of Fryderyk Chopin is coming to MTP Poznań EXPO. “Romantic Chopin” will open on February 7 in Pavilion 1A.

Previously presented in Warsaw - where it attracted more than 20,000 visitors - the Poznań edition combines music, visuals, and cutting-edge immersive technologies. Visitors move through a sequence of spaces tracing the composer’s life and work, from his childhood in Żelazowa Wola, through Warsaw and Vienna, to Paris.
The exhibition features large-scale projections, animations, interactive installations, and VR technology. Highlights include an interactive sculpture with a cast of Chopin’s hand that triggers excerpts of his compositions, as well as a dedicated room with a multimedia “tree of relationships” presenting key figures from the composer’s life.

At the heart of the experience is an immersive hall hosting a several-dozen-minute audiovisual show with Chopin’s music and animations inspired by his oeuvre and the Polish landscape. The experience is complemented by a first-person narration based on the composer’s letters.
Visitors will hear dozens of Chopin’s works performed by acclaimed pianists, including Kate Liu, Szymon Nehring, Tatiana Shebanova, and Aimi Kobayashi.
“Romantic Chopin” will be open to the public from February 7 to April 30, 2026. The exhibition is designed for a wide audience, including families with children and school groups.
