CAVALIADA in Warsaw

The International Federation for Equestrian Sports approved the schedule for CAVALIADA competitions in Warsaw (7-10 March).

This is the first time that the competition in the Torwar hall will have been divided into two categories, CSI3*W and CSI1*. On one hand, this will allow less experienced athletes to start alongside professionals, and on the other hand, everyone will be able to bring more horses with them.

CSI3*-W will be dominated by the finals of the Central European League World Cup and the CAVALIADA Tour finals.

The World Cup contains all big round competitions. According to the regulations, the competitions start on Thursday with the speed contest, followed by the 150 cm contest on Friday involving play-off and then the Grand Prix (155 cm) on Sunday, after a rest day. This will allow us to identify the best three of our region who will go to the World Cup Final, which will take place in April in Goteborg. Remember that Poles: Jarosław Skrzyczyński, Maksymilian Wechta and Wojciech Wojcianiec stand great chances to be successful.

The competitions that are part of the World Cup will also determine the final results of CAVALIADA Tour. Friday will be the last and the fifth qualifying round (out of five competitions three best results will be taken into account), whereas Sunday will be the day of the final, in which the points are doubled.

These two cup contests and the Speed and Music contest on Saturday will be counted in the world ranking. As in the previous year, under the new FEI rules, the winner of the Grand Prix (where the prize money close to PLN 200,000) will receive 80 points for LR. The three-star series will also see three 140 cm contests including the Saturday’s final with the prize money of PLN 40,000 as well as the Puissance contest on Thursday.

A new feature is the small round, which will be held as part of CSI1*. This means that it is more accessible (horses do not need FEI passports). Anyone willing to take part can register two horses to start on Thursday and Saturday in the 125 cm category and on Sunday’s 130 cm two-turn finals.
