Grupa MTP won the open tender announced in autumn 2021 and signed the agreement with the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, under which it will provide comprehensive organisation and services for the WUF11 World Urban Forum. The Poznań-based company will be responsible for the design and construction of the existing congress spaces at the MCK in Katowice as well as the construction of temporary conference and seminar rooms and office space, among others, for the UN. The company will also provide the necessary IT infrastructure, audio-video systems and catering. Grupa MTP will also be responsible for providing service to the exhibitors - countries and institutions present at WUF11. In addition, the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy commissioned the design, construction and maintenance of the Polish Pavilion at WUF11 and the preparation of the concept for an interactive exhibition to the MTP Group.

Grupa MTP has already been involved three times in the organisation of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change - the most important global forum addressing the global climate policy. In December 2008, MTP Poznań Expo hosted COP14. In 2013, the Ministry of Environment entrusted Grupa MTP with the most important part of the preparations for the next COP19, which was held at the National Stadium in Warsaw. In 2018, the company was responsible for the logistics of the COP24 climate conference in Katowice. The consortium of Grupa MTP and FM Aldentro was also the general contractor for the Polish Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020. The company has more than 100 trade fair events in its portfolio and it is the organiser of congresses, conferences, cultural and sporting events.

The World Urban Forum is a prestigious international conference organised by UN-Habitat with the aim to develop urban areas and human settlements. It is the most important global event on urban policy, transformation and development. It is usually attended by several dozen to tens of thousands people from about 170 countries worldwide. The event takes place every two years and hosts participants representing governments, regions, cities, NGOs and financial institutions. The latest tenth edition took place in 2020 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Around 20 thousand visitors are expected at WUF11 in Katowice. This will be the first edition of the event to be held in Central and Eastern Europe.
