On May 17-19, 2019, Poznan will for three days once again become the Polish capital of breeders.

The MTP Poznan Expo fairgrounds will host the first Polish (National) Animal Breeding Exhibition (NWZH), previously known as the National Animal Breeding Exhibition. This cosmetic change in the name further enhances the importance of the event, for years enjoying great interest among both farmers and the public. In the center of the capital of Wielkopolska you will be have an opportunity to see 180 head of dairy cattle, 80 head of beef cattle, 160 head of sheep and goats, 500 rabbits, 150 chinchillas, and even snails and ostrich chicks. There will also be chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and quail.

The Exhibition is organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the National Animal Breeding Center, the National Research Institute of Animal Production based in Balice in Krakow, industry associations and Grupa MTP. The Polish Animal Breeding Exhibition is a three-day festival, which brings together the best Polish breeders presenting their animals and producers as well as distributors showing the latest technology and solutions used in agriculture or animal husbandry. The Exhibition also promotes the idea of a healthy diet, which includes well prepared pork, beef and poultry offered by Polish manufacturers.

This year we will see the largest Exhibition of Native Breeds in the history of the NWZH Exhibition. The native breeds will include Polish Red or White-Backed cattle, Polish Heath sheep, old type Polish Merino, the willow tit, egg-laying hens: Green-Legged Partridge or Sussex fowl, geese of cities/regions such as: Lublin, Kielce, Subcarpathia, Pomerania, Kartuzy, Rypin, or swan geese, as well as rabbits and chinchillas. The largest ever exhibition of Shetland ponies promises to be extremely interesting. There will also be dynamic demonstrations of horses or impressive presentations of cattle on rings lined with green sawdust.

During this year's Exhibition, there will also be other attractions such as an opportunity to see an animal ambulance to be presented by the University of Life Sciences in Poznan, and the tasting zone of the Exhibition of Native Breeds. − Along with trade associations and other entities we are preparing special zones on St. Mark's Square. On the surface of over 2,000 m2, you will find poultry, beef, dairy products, regional products or native breeds − says Project Director, Łukasz Rachubiński.

This year's exhibition will be held in halls 1, 2, 3, 3A, 4 and on St. Mark's Square on MTP Poznan Expo fairgrounds in the capital of Wielkopolska. Admission to the exhibition is FREE.
