Pyrkon 2026: Celebrating 25 Years with More Than 2,000 Program Highlights
Poland’s largest fantasy festival is once again taking over MTP Poznań EXPO. Pyrkon 2026 runs from June 19 to 21 and welcomes an impressive lineup of guests, including American author Maggie Stiefvater, Swedish power metal band Twilight Force, Cubicle 7 Entertainment co-founder Dominic McDowall, and British actor Andrew Wincott. Following the record-breaking 2025 edition, which attracted more than 66,000 attendees, the festival returns on a grand scale.
Guests Fans Have Been Waiting For
The 2026 edition brings together four different worlds of fantasy. Maggie Stiefvater is a bestselling American author well known to young adult fantasy readers. Twilight Force appeals to fans of metal music in its most fairy tale-inspired and fantastical form. Dominic McDowall of Cubicle 7 Entertainment is a highly anticipated guest for tabletop role-playing game enthusiasts, as the studio is known for adapting major franchises. Andrew Wincott, meanwhile, is a familiar voice and face to fans of audio dramas and BBC radio theater.
Pyrkon has a long tradition of attracting renowned guests from around the world. Over the past 25 years, the festival has welcomed Bonnie Wright from the Harry Potter films, Mark Sheppard from Supernatural and Doctor Who, Miranda Otto from The Lord of the Rings, as well as acclaimed Polish creators including Jacek Dukaj, Michał Żebrowski, and Professor Andrzej Dragan.

More Than 2,000 Program Highlights Across 20 Thematic Zones
The scale of Pyrkon extends far beyond celebrity appearances. This year’s program features more than 2,000 activities spread across approximately 20 thematic zones. Fantasy fans can find something to enjoy regardless of whether they are interested in gaming, comics, cosplay, literature, film and television, LEGO bricks, or science. Dedicated areas include a children's zone, a gaming zone, and the Fantasy Villages Zone, where participants recreate elements of worlds inspired by books and games.
For many attendees, the Exhibitors Zone is equally important. Visitors can purchase handmade crafts, cosplay accessories, merchandise from beloved franchises, and unique items unavailable in mainstream stores.

Music Across Three Stages
Concerts have become a staple of the festival, growing in importance each year. In 2025, more than 30 performances took place across three stages: Sala Ziemi, the Fire Stage, and the Water Stage. Featured artists included The Witcher: Music of the Continent, Gloryhammer, Łydka Grubasa, and Studio Accantus. Among the musical highlights of this year’s edition is the previously mentioned Twilight Force.
Accessibility for Everyone
Over the past several years, Pyrkon has consistently worked to make the festival accessible to people with different needs. The event offers a tactile map for visually impaired visitors, communication cards, a low-stimulation zone, and a Polish Sign Language interpreter at the main entrance. Organizers have also announced dedicated program activities designed to accommodate the diverse needs of attendees.

A Quarter Century of Fantasy
Today, Pyrkon is not only the largest fantasy festival in Poland but also an event with a 25-year history. Organized by the Second Era Fantasy Club Association, it has grown from a local gathering into a festival that occupies nearly the entire MTP Poznań EXPO grounds and attracts participants from across Poland.
